Minutes of 1-26-07 meeting

1. Update on NG workshop trainning - discussed that we will plan two NG training sessions - one in March and one in April
2. Update on ftp to lamission.edu/online - contact information - both Eric and David now have FTP rights and can update and modify http://lamission.edu/online
3. Update on Tech Ed - 2007 - http://www.techedevents.org/lamc/ and classified attendance - Professional Development will pay $1500 for all faculty, classified and administrators who wish to attend Tech Ed on 3/26, 27 and 28 - register at http://techedevents.org/2007/lamc
4. NG shells and transition - problems - establish a users group - Vilma will work to establish a users group
5. Marketing of Online programs - general discussion of the committee
6. DE reports to Academic Affairs or Technology of both - collaboration ? We are still waiting for the Shared Governance restructure which will occur in February. It would appear that per contract we report to an Educational Planning Committee and that will be established in February.
7. Online Orientation of Students on 2-07 at noon and 7 pm - location & promotion ? Vilma and David to do this orientation
