Agenda of 12-15-06 (updated to add #5 below)

1. Discuss student course information for all classes - see ITV website for example and letters to students - for Winter 2007 see http://lamission.edu/itv/schedules/classes@session=19.html

This provides comprehensive contact information for the faculty, textbooks, how to take the class, etc. We need to have our Spring 2007 online faculty provide this information and we can then have it located on the online page to help orient all online students. Nice work Paul.

2. Discuss "grandfathering" of current online faculty - who have been teaching and who have seniority. Determine factors, rules, etc. in grandfathering.

3. Report to DE Committee on first student orientation class held yesterday for students at noon and 7 pm - see http://lamission.edu/de/orientation - see powerpoint from DeAnza - http://cvcmoodle.cvc.edu/mod/resource/view.php?id=126 and also making it mandatory for students.

4. Discuss process to determine seniority for new faculty who have not taught online.
