Microsoft Office 365

A. Access your Office 365 online account (faculty.laccd.edu email account)

1.  go to http://lamission.edu and click on online classes and then Office 365 under Faculty Canvas (left side)

2. use following username same configuration as lamission.edu email

so for me it is jordandc@faculty.laccd.edu

3.  temporary password if you have never logged into Office 365 is

8 plus your 2 digit birth month (i.e. May -= 05)

the first letter of your last name (MUST BE CAPITAL - is case sensitive)  and the last 4 of your SSN

so example 805L2345

you will be asked to reset your password at first login

B. Download your Discussions/Modules/AT&S from Etudes

4. Overview of the Migration Process

Before you can use the migration tool to import Etudes content into your Canvas course site, you need to export three separate content packages from Etudes:

  1. An IMS content package for your Discussions
  2. An IMS content package for your Modules
  3. A QTI 2 zipped file for your Assignments, Tests, and Surveys (Assessments)

The process of exporting these content packages is covered in detail in the following pages:

  1. Exporting Your Discussions
  2. Exporting Your Modules
  3. Exporting Your AT& S

C. Request a Development Site at ILEARN

Email DE Coordinator (jordandc@lamission.edu) and request a Shell be created at ILEARN for your respective course

eg. I teach Law 1, 10, 16 and 19 for Spring, then I would get a shell for each.

If you have already been creating content in a canvas course at lamission.edu/canvas, then download it and you can then import it once you access your new shell at ILEARN

D. Use Migration tool in ILEARN to upload your etudes content to your development course - Here is PDF on Importing Content
